The nights are drawing in ... but not on a Teignmouth in the Fens

The picture below is of a Teignmouth belonging to Ken Challans a new member near Spalding. He brought his very fine Teignmouth to the Stamford Car Show. The photograph shows off his ‘new’ headlights - 50 watts of light and almost zero amps, the Heavy 12 next to it has 30 watt ones.

I believe these are an LED conversion that he and a friend have designed – I’ve asked for more details and if he’s interested in writing a short article for the magazine … at Stamford he had already fitted LED lights inside his rear lamps and number plate illumination. These are perfect for our old wiring and for clear signalling to the modern traffic !

It might not be in keeping with originality, but you can take too many chances in the Fens with all those right angle bends and fog!

I would love a set of those on my Flying Eight 4/8A, no more worries about the lights getting dimmer and dimmer when driving at night. Richard Webmaster.
