The Standard Motor Club is THE club for all Standard Owners and fans
The weather has never failed us for the Churchill Show. This year was no exception, Sunday was just wall to wall sunshine.
Over 500 classic vehicles descended onto the cricket pitch next to the church in this quintessimal English village in deepest rural Oxfordshire.
The Club's area was populated with Standards from 1926 onwards:
Paul Newsome, 1926 Standard Charlecotte
Steve O'Hara and Malcolm Graham, 1950's Standard 10's
Steve Brook, Standard Companion
John and Rachel Maxwell, 1937 Flying 12
Peter Lockley 1954 Swallow Doretti
Ray and Di Ferris, Standard Pennant
Steve Smetlzer, Austin A30 (?)
John and Carol Plowman, TR6
Lynda and I tried to get there in the 1921 SLO, but unfortunately suffered a puncture on the way, so had to continue in a modern.
The show has much for everyone to enjoy:

We bought a contribution to the picnic and everyone sat around in the sunshine enjoying themselves. The only disappointment is that we have to wait 2 years until the next one.
