Chiltern Rally & Roadrun

on Sunday 10th September 2023

COME & JOIN US!

Our meeting place - "The Chequers Inn" Redbourn, Hertfordshire.

This year our annual Chiltern Rally and Road run will take place on Sunday 10th September 2023. We will meet at The Chequers Inn, St Albans Road, Redbourn, AL3 7AD, telephone 01582 792359. It is advisable to book a table if you would like lunch. Our road run will begin at 1.45 pm, starting from the car park. A printed route will be provided.

This year our destination is The Heritage Park, Pitstone Green Museum. This is a fascinating blend of attractions from the past, based in the once redundant buildings of an old Victorian farm. Nestling in the shadow of Ivinghoe Beacon, it captures the spirit of a bygone age when life was harder but slower than it is today.

The museum has more than forty different locations including displays. On open days, several locations have a volunteer on hand to demonstrate or just answer your questions.

Admission is £10 for adults, £4 for a child and £8 for Seniors over the age of 65. You can pay at the door. Catering is available for hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and cakes.

Pitstone Green Museum is situated just off the B489 which runs from Aston Clinton to Dunstable on the Bedfordshire / Buckinghamshire borders.

Our destination is a fascinating slice of history...

Please email me, lynda.homer@btinternet.com or telephone 01727 868405 to let us know if you will be joining us this year. We hope that many of you would like to come along.

If the Standard is not on the road you are welcome in a modern car.

We look forward to seeing you all.
