Tracking the restoration of the only known Standard Flying 20 V-Eight Saloon in the UK.

Flying Standard 20 V-Eight Rebuild – as it happens!

In Part 6 we cover the strip down and repainting of the bonnet

To do this Graham built a Spray Booth in the end of his garage from Polythene sheet. This allowed him to keep the dust out, whilst he could heat the interior. Cellulose prefers to be spraying at 20 degrees centigrade or higher.

The photos show the panels before starting, during the rub down and paint application phases. The processes can not be rushed if you are to achieve the results that Graham is showing.
