For Sale - 1926 Standard Stratford Tourer

Advert dated - 1st March 2025

Bryn Heeley writes:

I have been contacted by Chris Gilford, the wife of the late Stan Gilford (a man never to be forgotten).

Unbelievably, it is a year since Stan passed away and Chris has now decided to sell Stan's 1926 Standard Stratford Tourer.

This car is very, very well known within the Standard Motor Club, The Standard Register and The Chester Vintage Enthusiasts Club. The car was a feature on many, many of our events and attended all but one of our Summer Adventures.

I have attached a couple of photos of the car when it was out with us and as you can see it is in excellent condition.

This imposing car is rare and dates back to the dawn of motoring and The Standard Motor Company.

It looks stunning, has all the wet weather screens and features that famous "shouldered" radiator that Stan was so keen to acknowledge.

It would be great to keep this unique car in the group/area. If you are interested in further details please contact me in the first instance and then arrangements can be made to meet with Chris.
