Advert dated - 19th February 2025
Zena Lucas is selling their 1959 Standard Companion. This is a reluctant sale following the sad death of Stuart Lucas last December.
As Zena doesn't drive, it is Stuart and Zena's wish that the car ideally pass on to new owners within the Club and is used as regularly as possible at Club events.
The car comes with very good reliability record and often made the long trip over from Norwich to Club events in the Midlands and further afield. Stuart was a former AA Patrolman and worked in the motor industry for all his working life so the car has been well maintained.
It was last started in February and ran well. The details of the car are as follows
1959 Standard Companion
(Stuart and Zena have owned this car since March 2012)
948cc (Ten) engine
40,000 miles, believed to be genuine.
This is a very original Companion in two tone green and beige. The rear door is the single wide door.
There is a small amount of rust in the usual places along the bottom of some doors.
The interior is all original and unmarked, including the headlining.
One of the best and most original Companions in the Club, with a great reliability record, ready for the 2025 rally season.
£5,950 ono
