Rotary Carnival - 11th June 2022

Darrell Cunningham, reports:

On the 11th June members of the Standard Motor Club New Forest Group visited the Rotary Carnival at Bishop's Waltham.

In the group picture can be seen, from left to right; Darrell & Josephine with their 1961 Vanguard Automatic Luxury 6.

In the middle, Alan & Lynne with their 1936 Salmon bodied Sunshine 10/12 Coupe.

On the right, Dave & Val with their 1934 Tickford Drophead (Standard 10) which are booked into the International Rally from 24th to 26th June this year. Find out more on the Rally here:

Two other Club members appeared, having driven in the procession that arrived later.

A 1958 4-door Standard 8, RYC 65 of R Murdock, who is a new member.

... and the 1958 Pennant, YAS 437 of Nick Proudlock, which was signed 'For Sale'.

It was quite a warm sunny day and some got a touch of sunburn.

Everybody enjoyed their own picnics chatting, as we all did before Covid.

May it continue.
