The Standard Register Rally 2024

Specifically designed for pre-1932 Standards to be used on the road, this year’s Rally took place in August around rural Rutland.

Based at Greetham Valley Golf Club, this annual event over 3 days, took in a boat ride on the “Rutland Belle” on the calm Rutland Water. Then, the following day, a Steam Train ride on the Nene Vally Railway to Peterborough.

Sunday consisted of a tour to Barnsdale Gardens made famous by the late Geoff Hamilton of Gardeners’ World. Now we will picture some of the splendid Vintage Standards that took part.

As three of the Model V3 cars were celebrating their one hundredth birthday, it was appropriate that their owners be presented with a birthday cake. Here are Mathew Bell, Conan Lewis and Guy Singleton cutting the cake.
